Lady Gaga has released 'Judas,' the second single off her forthcoming album 'Born This Way.' The dance-pop star first revealed the title of the song in an issue of Vogue in February and later confirmed to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show that 'Judas' would be follow-up single to 'Born This Way.'
'Judas' contains all the staples familiar to Gaga fans: a club-ready beat, provocative lyrics and a catchy hook. The similarities to 'LoveGame' and 'Bad Romance' shouldn't come as much of a surprise -- the song was co-written by Gaga and producer RedOne, who collaborated with Gaga on all of her previous hits.
The song tells a story of a woman hopelessly falling in love with the wrong man and a relationship wrought with betrayal and heartache. Gaga borrows the title from the Bible story of Judas and turning his back on Jesus, with references in the lyrics such as "When he comes to me, I am ready / I'll wash his feet with my hair if he needs / Forgive him when his tongue lies through his brain."
Gaga recently finished the music video for 'Judas' which was directed by Gaga herself along with Laurieann Gibson. Fans will also be able to hear Gaga perform the song live on 'American Idol' on May 19, as well as her upcoming Born This Way Ball tour.
